Hello again, I guess I am suppose to talk about the new catalog. Being a cranky person in somewhat of an advance age (as compared to you meddling kids), change kinda gives me both the heebe and geebees.. Heck, I remember actual card catalogs (and we liked it) so all this new-fangled technology creeps me out a bit. Somehow I reckon I will manage to adapt and overcome the change, consarn it!

In reality, I like the new catalog. The ability to keep a list of stuff you have already read and a for later list is fantastic. I also like the ability to have a user name instead of using my library card number. Like I stated earlier, being of advanced age I never remembered my dadburn library card number and now I will not have to try anymore. I am still learning the advanced search but I am feeling more comfortable with each passing day, dagnabbit! I guess it is time for the dumfungled catalog to be put out to pasture.

One more thing, you kids keep off of my yard...darn whippersnappers!

Hello Fellow Bloggers,

This is the post when I tell you what Library RSS feeds I subscribed to with Google Reader. I subscribed to four Library feeds. The first three are Library Journal feeds. This includes LJ audio reviews, LR Library 2.0 (I think I've heard about this 2.0 thing) and Library Journal news. But the fourth is my favorite. It is Awful Library Books. Just so much fun looking at dated books. Just an example is the picture of a "super computer": http://awfullibrarybooks.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/super-computer-2.jpg

Super computer indeed. Love the IBM 9X01. Nice rotary phone dial (must be dial up Internet).

Not much else to say so I will end the post here. Later!
